Christina lives in Da Nang and makes videos about daily life here for people thinking about moving to Asia. She writes these guides from the streets she actually uses: the noodle counter on her block, the beach end she swims at, the landlord questions she wishes someone had warned her about. You can see the city through her camera on her YouTube channel.

The guides below were researched and drafted by the Meet Da Nang editorial process described on this page, and they carry the Meet Da Nang Editorial Team byline until Christina has read each one and added her own notes; her name goes on a guide only once she has. We would rather tell you that than put a real person's name on words she has not seen.
Search for Da Nang and you get the same twenty places, written by people who spent four days here. That advice is not wrong, it is just shallow, and it treats a city of over a million people as one beach with some restaurants near it. Meet Da Nang is the opposite: seven areas, each with its own verdict, its own rooms and its own food, written by someone who has to live with the choice.
Three filters, in this order. First, would Christina send a friend there. Second, do residents still go: we read the newest reviews in Vietnamese, and if the recent ones have turned entirely into tourist reviews we say so on the page. Third, for hotels, the numbers: a guest score of at least 8.5 from 100 or more reviews, a review inside the last year, and a sentiment pass over the last twenty for the complaints that never make the listing, such as thin walls, construction, wifi and mosquitoes.
We use AI tools to read and translate thousands of reviews and to draft first summaries of public data. Every guide is then written and checked by Christina against what is actually there, and every entry-rule or safety claim is linked to an official source.
